感恩節（Thanksgiving Day）原是美國和加拿大共有的節日，由美國人民獨創，原意是為了感謝上天賜予的好收成、感謝印第安人的幫助。

Thanksgiving Day originally is a shared Festival of America and Canada, created by American. It’s original meaning is to thank God for good harvest and to appreciate the help from the native Indians.

自1941年起，每年11月的第四個星期四為美國的感恩節，並從這一天起將休假兩天；加拿大的感恩節則起始於1879年，是在每年10月第二個星期一，與美國的哥倫布日相同。

From 1941, the forth Thursday of November each year was designated as the American Thanksgiving Day. And people will have two days off. The Canadian Thanksgiving Day started in 1879 and it is the second Monday of October, which is the same day as the American Columbus Day.

21世紀初，中國學者倡議設立“中華感恩節”，以弘揚傳統文化。

明天就是感恩節了，師父也要說一聲：“Thank you！”

At the beginning of 21st century, the Chinese scholars advocated to set “Chinese Thanksgiving Day” so as to propagate the traditional Chinese culture. It will be Thanksgiving Day tomorrow and I would like to say “Thank you!”
